The Refuge Trek

The Refuge Trek is owned & operated by Friends of Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.  The Friends are excited to resume the Refuge Trek this season. The Refuge Trek was paused last season due to road construction for the new beach relocation. While construction continues a modified schedule will allow the Trek journeys to begin once again. The Trek will begin operation on Saturday, and one Sunday, May 2^nd through May 31^st. We offer two treks per day, 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes early. Treks are one and a half hours. Tickets are $20 each and are non-refundable.  With continued construction on the road, tickets will only be available for purchase one week in advance beginning on the Monday before the trek.  For Trek and ticket trip information call 757-336-3696.
